Due to the unique and challenging features of the location on Highway 51 near its intersection with the Charlotte Beltway, SAA Architecture LLC. was charged with the adaptation of the existing Public Storage climate controlled storage facility. The solution developed, created a second floor entry/office area and a first floor loading space to eliminate the feeling of a “basement floor.” The revisions were accomplished while maintaining acceptable building efficiencies. The structural stud bearing wall system (used on both locations) saved the client several dollars per square foot in construction expenses.
