Situated at the intersection of US Route 1 and Maryland 198, in the heart of the Laurel Commercial district, a parcel sat vacant for decades. Stephens Architectural Associates was called upon to assist a valued client in putting this land to productive use. The initial challenge was how to take advantage of superior visibility that was compromised by difficult access. Working in partnership with city planners and engineers, a suitable solution was developed and rapidly approved by the client. The novel architecture of the building incorporates a tower and high parapet line to capitalize on the site’s superior visibility. The building is now nearing completion and during construction several wise tenants already leased over 60% of the building.
